2) 3 Ways to Clean Wax from Old Candle Jars
You can get out almost 80% of the wax from old candle jars pretty easily, but because it is very slimy, it is very hard to crystal clear all the wax. Do not worry; you can use any of these 3 pretty easy, quick, and cheap methods to get the work done.
a) Method No.1: Use Hot Water
- Clean the wax from the Jar as much as possible.
- Place the Jar on a ceramic plate.
- Boil the water and pour it into the jar, and you will see the water makes the wax come to the top.
- Leave it overnight for the best result.
- In the morning, simply remove the wax chips by hand from the water top.
- Pour all the water into the sink and wash it with soap & warm water.
b) Method No. 2: Use a Coffer Warmer
- Place the jar on a candle or coffee warmer.
- Turn the warmer on, and leave the jar on it.
- After 2 – 3 hours, all the leftover wax will be melted down. Simply pour it down into the sink.
- Wash the jar with some soap & warm water.
c) Method No. 3: Use Your Freezer
- Place the candle jar in your freezer.
- Come back after 2 – 3 hours, get the jar out and place it on a wide hard surface.
- Get your butter knife and break down all the hardened wax at the bottom.
- Get the broken chipped wax out by simply turning the jar upside down.
- Finally, wash the jar with water & soap.
